Helping Hands International adopted a small Orphanage called Rivers in the Desert in Guadalajara around 2005 with approximately eleven special children. The students quickly became like family to our non-profit and we committed to long term care and ministry to see these kids grow to become productive young adults. For many years, we would send two Volunteer teams a year to help care for the wonderful children and give the local staff a much needed rest. More recently, our work has shifted to prayer and financial support (verses trips) to assist Director Henry & Martha's on-going efforts.
